- I'm Max Tyson. A short time ago I decided I needed to go on an adventure. So I moved to Oregon. I didn't have a job here. I didn't know many people. I was living alone. I couldn't speak the language. I promise I hadn't actually thought it through. I couldn't have been more excited. Now that I've been in Bend for six months, some things have changed. I've made friends. I live with some of them. I've learned to communicate with the locals. I work two jobs. Seven days a week. For 8.40 an hour. Good thing I have a college degree.
